The French international was rushed to hospital during the week for an operation on his ear after complaining that he had problems keeping his balance.
Grant is already set to raid January’s transfer market as he looks to bolster his depleted squad which sees four departures for The African Nations Cup next month.
“Makelele had a problem in his ear, a big problem that affected his balance even when he was walking,” Grant said in The People.
“We didn’t want to do it because we need every player. He will be out for maybe three weeks.”[/size]
